Terms
Last updated August 2026
These terms cover bidding on Brand My Mac. By placing a bid you agree to them. Questions? hello@brandmymac.ca.
What you're bidding on
Each spot is a physical sticker position on the lid of a real MacBook that I carry in public. Winning a spot means your logo is printed and applied to that position for the run of the sticker set, and your brand is shown on this page next to your spot. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
Bids and deposits
A new bid must beat the standing bid on a spot by at least $10. When you bid, you pay a deposit of 20% (with a small minimum) through Stripe to hold it. This is a real charge, not full payment. Your card details are entered on Stripe and never touch this site.
House rules
Bids go live as soon as the deposit clears — there's no approval step. I do reserve the right to remove any listing that is unlawful, misleading, infringing, or not safe-for-work, and to refund it. Keeping the board something I'm happy to carry is the only editorial line.
Outbids and refunds
Until the auction closes, any spot can be outbid. If you're outbid, your deposit is refunded automatically, and you keep your place in that spot's history — you can bid again and only top up the difference on a deposit you've already made.
Winning and payment
When the auction closes, the highest live bid on each spot wins. Your deposit is applied to a final invoice sent by payment link; the balance is due within 7 days, or the spot and deposit are forfeited. If a sticker is removed early for reasons within my control, a fair pro-rata refund applies.
Anti-sniping
Any bid placed in the final minutes extends that spot's close by a short window, so a spot can't be stolen at the last second.
Paid placement, not endorsement
Every spot is paid advertising. A brand appearing here is not an endorsement of that brand by me, or of me by the brand. I may remove a sticker or listing that turns out to be fraudulent, unlawful, or misrepresented.
Liability and law
The site and the auction are provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, my liability for any bid is limited to refunding what you paid on it. These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the applicable province.
